How to get the Current version of CodeIgniter : Popular PHP Framework

As you all know, CodeIgniter is a popular PHP framework for web development. Many developers working for improving the functionalities of CodeIgniter.  CodeIgniter version is updating in a certain interval. Users can easily update the version. Before each update, check the current version of CI is compatible with the new version. Otherwise, the conflict will occur and total functionality of the website into trouble. Two ways users can check the current version.

1. 1. 1. Go the file >>> system/core/CodeIgniter.php
         Check for the line
const CI_VERSION = '3.1.9';
         This constant variable defines the current version of CI. Please don’t change it before updating the version. It will make mistakes for next level developers
      2. CodeIgniter users can echo the CI_VERSION constant value in any of the controller or view.
         Write the following code and see the browser.
         echo CI_VERSION;
         Now you can see the current version of CI.
