The aim of the Kisan Credit card scheme is to provide loans at relatively low-interest rates to farmers. Who is eligible for Kisan Credit Card
- Individual Farmers
- Individual Land Owners and Cultivators
- Self-help groups of sharecroppers or tenant farmers
- Joint Borrowers of cultivable land engaged in farming or related activities
Eligibility Criteria
The KCC is for crop production, non-farming activities and other related works. The person applying for KCC must be able to get a minimum production credit of Rs 5,000.
The person applying must be a resident of the same jurisdiction as the bank

The farmer must submit an Identity Proof, an Address Proof, Passport Size Photograph and any other documents required by the Bank

How to apply for Kisan Credit Card in India
STEP 1: Visit the official website of any bank of your liking as most of the prominent bank`s provides Kisan Credit Card. Now click on the Kisan Credit Card Section. From the Kisan Credit Card Session, you can download the Application form. Take a print out of the Application form
STEP 2: Fill the application form carefully.
STEP 3: Submit the Application form along with required documents to the nearest branch of the bank.
STEP 4: The Loan Officer will check the details of the submitted forms and documents and will provide necessary guidance.
STEP 5: Once the bank verifies your details, The loan amount will be sanctioned and the Kisan Credit Card will reach you by post.
